We are combining the work on the Tower and the Pew Floors / Stone Slabs into a single fundraising initiative looking for a combined total of £145,000. We expect to raise the majority of this from other charities and trusts. As the total scale of work is in excess of £100,000 we qualify to apply to the National Churches Trust (NCT). If successful it is possible that they could award up to £30,000, but this is conditional on our raising at least 50% of our target first. Whilst some of that can come from other trusts, every supporting charity or trust will only give money if they can see a level of commitment from the local community.
This means that we have three stages in our fundraising campaign.
Phase 1 £72,500 to be raised from the local community and charitable trusts.
Phase 2 application to the NCT.
Phase 3 balance (up to £50,000) to be raised mainly from charitable trusts during 2022
The priority is to get phase one completed as soon as possible during 2021 so that we can make an application to the NCT and start work on the Tower. If you would like to help with a donation, please click here.
